Support completing your New Zealand Traveller Declaration

If you are having trouble with your declaration, you can ask someone you trust to help you or to fill it out on your behalf.

There is a paper declaration form available on arrival, if needed. You do not need to fill in a paper declaration form if you have completed a digital declaration.

Remember the New Zealand Traveller Declaration is free to complete.

Languages available in the declaration

The New Zealand Traveller Declaration questions are available in multiple languages. Answers must be in English.

Languages available in the online form and the NZTD app include:

  • Te Reo Māori 
  • 简体中文 / Chinese (Simplified) 
  • 繁體中文 / Chinese (Traditional) 
  • Vosa Vakaviti / Fijian 
  • Français / French 
  • Deutsch / German 
  • हिंदी / Hindi 
  • 日本語 / Japanese 
  • 한국어 / Korean 
  • Malay / Malaysian 
  • Português / Portuguese 

The online form also has these languages available:

  • Gagana Samoa / Samoan 
  • Tagalog / Tagalog 
  • தமிழ் / Tamil 
  • Lea Faka-Tonga / Tongan 

To change language settings in the online form, choose 'select language' at the bottom of the homescreen.

To change the language settings in the NZTD app, go to the menu bar on the top right of the app homepage.

Translated paper declaration forms

Translated paper declaration forms are samples to help you complete an NZTD paper declaration form (English version) when you arrive in New Zealand by air or sea.

If you have completed a digital declaration, you do not need to complete a paper declaration form.
