Arriving at Customs in New Zealand
You must wear a face covering at the airport, unless you have a medical exemption. Children under the age of 12 are not required to wear a face covering.
When you enter New Zealand you need to show your Traveller Pass and any other entry requirements to Customs. You can show your Traveller Pass as a printed document or on your mobile device.
If your Traveller Pass says ‘Self-testing’, ‘Quarantine-free travel’ or ‘Self-testing, check NZ citizenship’, it does not need to be checked by a Customs Officer and you can exit Customs via the eGates. The eGates will automatically check the details of your Traveller Pass when your passport is scanned.
For everyone else, you will need to exit via the Customs desks.
Expect some delays as you go through the airport. Airport staff are working as quickly and carefully as they can.
